When does the season run?

Our league offers spring baseball each year. The season typically begins in late March and runs through the end of May. Teams play 1-3 games per week, Monday - Thursdays. Makeup games are typically on Fridays. There are no games on Saturdays.

How do I sign up?

Registration opens in November each year and closes Feb 28th . Financial aid is available to those who qualify.  Funding is limited and is given on a first come, first served basis. Click here to register.

What to expect during the season

Baseball is a big time commitment.

Practices typically begin in early March. Most teams practice 3-4 times per week in the month leading up to the season.

Once games begin, teams generally plan twice a week, in addition to 1-2 practices. Most teams meet an hour before the game to warm up.

If you're not a baseball fan yet, you will be by the end of your first season!

How are teams selected?

Every player makes a team, regardless of skill or experience.

Kids in Single-A (tee ball and coach pitch) can request to play for a certain coach or with certain kids.

Starting in AA, teams are picked or "drafted." Players who are new to the new league, or new to an age division, come to tryouts and then are chosen for a specific team. Once a player is drafted to a team, they remain on that team until they move to the next age division. (If they wish to change teams, they are picked "from the hat," meaning they are chosen randomly.)

If a player misses tryouts, they are chosen by a team at random.  We call that be picked "from the hat."

NOTE: We have two divisions for 10-12 year olds. Majors is the more competitive league. Players must attend tryouts to be considered for a Majors team. Those players who are not chosen for a Majors team will be drafted by a AAA team.  Players can try out for Majors each year within the age division. AAA is a developmental league for players who are not ready,  or interested, in playing in Majors.

WHAT IS MY CHILD'S "BASEBALL AGE?"

Our league follows the Cal Ripken/Babe Ruth age charts. Check it out here.
